‘Bang Goes the Theory’ – the BBC’s guide to popular science – will be examining nuclear power following events in Japan earlier this year in the final programme of the current series, which visits Hinkley Point power station near Burnham-On-Sea.

Presenter Dallas Campbell and the crew visited Hinkley Point B power station this week as part of Monday’s edition which will be broadcast at 7.30pm on BBC1.

Des Uminski, Fuel Route Manager at the station, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was great to be able to show Dallas and his team around. All the crew showed a keen interest in how our power station works and asked some really interesting questions.”

“It’s always nice to be able to give an insight into what goes on here and programmes like ‘Bang Goes the Theory’ helps make science more accessible and interesting for the wider public.”
