A special fundraising evening is to be held in Burnham-On-Sea this Friday (November 25th) in honour of a local woman who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year.
The Vapoury in Burnham’s Chapel Street is holding the Charity Night after Christine Oatway passed away in August.
A night of head shaves and waxing will be held from 7pm this Friday, raising money for Cancer Research.
One of the organisers said: “Seeing Christine suffer this cruel disease made us want to do something to honour her. The Vapoury in Burnham was keen to do a charity headshave and wax.”
“News spread with the power of social media and many friends and family kindly said they would take part – we are now hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research UK.”
