Scarecrow Festival to be held in Burnham-On-Sea today

-

A scarecrow festival is set to be held in Burnham-On-Sea today (Saturday, July 6th).

The town’s Marine Cove gardens will be hosting the town’s first sea-themed Scarecrow Day when residents and local groups will be displaying a number of designs.

The free event will run between 10am and 2pm.

Among the straw-filled creations will be a mermaid scarecrow that has been designed by members of the Friends of Marine Cove.

“We would encourage any schools, groups, shops or organisations to get involved. The event is free to take part in and should be a lot of fun,” organiser Jacqui Strong told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
