Burnham-On-Sea runner raises thousands completing the London Marathon

-

Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser Nicola Stent and her colleague have raised over £4,000 after completing the London Marathon at the weekend.

They have been raising funds towards Young Lives Vs Cancer, the chosen charity of Burnham runner Nicola Stent, along with fellow local runner David Usher.

“It was an amazing Marathon, I loved every minute of it. The atmosphere and support of the London crowd was indescribable.”

“For new runners the crowd really do get you through. It was a truly moving event for me celebrating with the YLVC team and celebrating at our after party full of the most amazing people.”

“Although I personally love running in the heat, I was concerned with the amount of people that were fainting not being used to training in such temperatures.”

“I am thrilled to say that between myself and my colleague David Usher, we have raised over £4,065 with some funds from Joes santa express fun run, and we are still offering Zumba classes and cake sales to boost the funds for Young lives Vs Cancer.”
