Brent Knoll’s Sanders Garden Centre marks Chelsea Flower Show with unique afternoon tea

-

Sanders Garden Centre in Brent Knoll is marking the arrival of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with a colourful new floral‑themed afternoon tea, bringing a touch of Chelsea magic.

Visitors can enjoy a blooming array of handcrafted treats, from delicately filled sandwiches to freshly baked scones and a line‑up of botanical‑inspired desserts designed to look as good as they taste.

The sweet selection includes a mini fruit meringue nest, a carrot and vanilla mascarpone cupcake, a raspberry crème brûlée toadstool tart, and a charming chocolate marquise “plant pot” finished with edible chocolate soil. Sandwich choices span tuna and cucumber, Coronation chicken, ham and mustard, egg mayonnaise, and cheese and pickle, all served alongside warm scones with clotted cream and raspberry preserve.

Blue Diamond Group is rolling out the limited‑edition afternoon tea across a number of its 53 garden centres.

Group Events Manager Rebecca Gurnett said: “RHS Chelsea Flower Show is one of the cherished highlights of our year and we’re delighted to celebrate the event with our customers. Our limited‑edition afternoon tea captures the magic of Chelsea and the flavours of spring. We can’t wait to share it with you.”

Priced at £25.95 per person, the special menu will be available from Monday 18th May to Sunday 24th May, with bookings now open online via the Blue Diamond events page.

The group returns to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year after securing its first Gold Medal and the prestigious Tree of the Show award for the Acer palmatum ‘Shishigashira’.

Held annually in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the world‑famous show runs from 19th–23rd May, showcasing cutting‑edge garden design, innovative planting and spectacular floral displays.
