We are a well-established used car dealership located between Burnham on Sea
and Weston-Super-Mare, we are a small but very productive team and are
looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team here at Coopers
Cars South West. You will be a part of a very busy garage and must be able to
work as part of a team and also alone. You must be self-motivated and take
pride in your work, be able to diagnose service and repair a varied spectrum of
vehicles, primarily cars.

Responsibilities
– Be Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualified in Vehicle Maintenance and
Repair. Time served applicants will be considered with evidence of
previous experience.
– Be a well presented and well-mannered individual.
– Be able to confidently carry out vehicle diagnostic works. Knowledge of
Autel diagnostics equipment would be beneficial but not required.
– Must have previous experience of MOT preparation work or good
knowledge of MOT test requirements.
– Be comfortable and confident with ALL types of repair work from basic
servicing and brakes to large jobs such as timing chains/belts and
clutches.
– Have an unparalleled work ethic and a commitment to working to the
highest standards.
– Must be an organised person with a methodical approach to working, a
high level of attention to detail and have a genuine drive for perfection.
– Must have the ability to work as part of a team but also alone with
minimal supervision.
– Be able to maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
– Be willing to take part in other business operations such as vehicle
collections, occasional valeting etc.
– Be able to communicate effectively with the rest of the team
– Be able to work full days Monday – Friday and very occasionally Saturday
morning.
