Rotary Club delivers financial boost to Burnham’s Octopus Centre

-

Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club has given the town’s Octopus Centre a cash boost this week to help it buy new play equipment.

The group’s Frank Clegg, Immediate past President of Burnham Rotary Club, presented a cheque for £500 to Rachel Bailey, cluster manager for the North Sedgemoor Children’s Centre Cluster of which the Octopus Centre is a part.

Rachel told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is a wonderful gift which will be used to purchase some much-needed equipment including additional play equipment, particularly large farm animals and a farm, together with some brightly coloured mats and cushions to help keep the environment bright and cheerful.”

Hugh Mackay, Chairman of the Octopus Children’s Centre Advisory Board, added that the centre was very grateful for the Rotary Club’s support.
