Burnham police to hold free bike security marking session

-

Cyclists can have their bikes security marked and get road safety advice when Burnham-On-Sea police hold a special bike marking event on Wednesday (August 18th).

The marking session will be held during a police surgery from 2.30pm-3.30pm at the main Apex Wildlife Park car park.

PCSOs Claire Chambers and Eliot Green will be handing out crime reduction advice, marking property and discussing safety advice.

Claire told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There are two ways we can mark bikes. The first being a free UV marking, which adds the owner’s postcode in a number of locations using an invisible marker; the second is using a permanent marking system and ownership database. Police are offering the service at a discounted rate of £4 per pedal cycle (normally retailed at £10.95).”
