Visitors to Burnham-On-Sea’s youth centre are being urged not to drop litter around the facilities amid an upsurge in discarded rubbish.

These were the scenes at the BAY Centre in Cassis Close this week where a wide range of litter has been thrown on the ground.

Jan Bonus, who is a trustee and Secretary at the centre, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “For several weeks we’ve seen large amounts of litter left at the ball court and along the paths.”

“It’s a real eyesore and also a health and safety risk, which is why we want to draw attention to the issue and urge people to remove their rubbish.”

“It seems that some people think it’s OK to do this and then to expect us to pick up the rubbish and remove it.”
