A motorist was rushed to hospital this morning (Wednesday) after her car flipped over at Burnham-On-Sea’s M5 motorway junction.

The northbound slipway for junction 22 was closed for over two hours, re-opening just after 8am, following the early morning accident.

Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to reports of a vehicle that had rolled over at about 5.40am on the slip road coming off the M5 for junction 22 northbound.”

“An ambulance called and the woman occupant was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. The sliproad was opened shortly after 8am.”
