Seafront shelters in Burnham-On-Sea have again been attacked by vandals over the weekend.

The chain fences around one of the shelters have been pulled down, bottles have been strewn over the floor, and further damage has been inflicted to the wooden struts of the building at the entrance to Marine Cove gardens.

The damage is believed to have occurred early on Saturday morning.

Last October, Burnham-On-Sea.com reported that a £250,000 bid for lottery cash to help modernise the gardens had edged a step closer after hundreds of residents had supported the regeneration proposals in a council survey.
