Poor weather hits attendance at Highbridge outdoor concert

-

Poor weather hit the attendance of an outdoor concert held in Highbridge on Sunday (August 7th).

But the 150 people who braved the rain were treated to some great music during ‘Music On The Green’.

The event was headlined by Adam and Alex Lipinski, known as The Lipinski Brothers, and supported by Adam Smith and Friends on guitar, Monkey Flush playing bluegrass and Burnham-On-Sea’s Rustique.

The event was organised by CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, which holds several free music events every year for the benefit of local people.

Chairman Mike Murphy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This was a good first concert in Highbridge for us. Although only 150 people attended during the day, those who came along hugely enjoyed Adam Smith, Monkey Flush Bluegrass and Rustique. The event was topped off by Adam and Alex Lipinski.”

“When the weather broke we provided extra gazebos for the audience to shelter. A good day – rescued by gazebos! This as a good start to our events in Highbridge which we’ll build on next year!”
