Wedmore Festival set to return this month with a week of live music and arts activities

-

Wedmore Festival is set to return this month with a week of live music and arts activities taking place.

The popular event returns for its 25th year with tickets selling fast to see the line-up of acts, from a leading Abba tribute band to authors and dance groups.

Events begin on 10th May and run all week until the 18th May. Whether you want to be entertained or informed, a variety of international and local acts will take part from the world of dance, art, wine and food and more.

Spokeswoman Jane Egginton says: “Our packed programme includes an incredible variety of performances, many of them world class, such as comedian Marcus Brigstocke, filmmaker Phil Dalton and author Dr Amy Jeffs.”

“Enjoy music, art and comedy and learn about gardening, nature and history. This festival for all ages looks back in time as well as to the future. Delight in afternoon tea, tapas and lunch, wine tasting and acts day and night.”

“Creativity in all its forms is celebrated, with everything from the UK’s official number 1 tribute band, Abba ‘Revival’ and a royal historian to celebrities from the worlds of sport, such as golf pro Liam Harper and BBC gardening guru Mary Payne MBE.”

“There will be dancing in the streets, thrillers from the stage and screen and a whole variety of acts in Wedmore’s wonderful venues including song and rip-roaring fun on the ocean wave with the Old Time Sailors.”

“Come join us in this celebration of local arts with lots of international talent. All proceeds go back to support the village and grassroots talent.”

Tickets are available either online at Wedmorefestival.co.uk or in the village shop.
