Brent Knoll School pupils raise over £330 for local London Marathon runner’s charity

-

Pupils at Brent Knoll School have raised £337.10 for a local London Marathon runner’s fundraising.
A scooter from Apex Park and sponsorship money and donations from children who wore their own clothes to school on the day raised funds for Steve Wilcox and his chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.
Brent Knoll School headteacher Chris Burman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Steve met the year sixes and told them all about his preparation for the Marathon and his reasons for choosing Cancer Research UK.”
“The children were very mature in planning and organising their fund raiser and they were very pleased to combine their money raised with someone from our school community.”
