Safety investigation launched after man dies in incident at a farm in Puriton

Burnham-On-Sea Police say a man in his 50s has sadly died following an incident involving a farm vehicle.

Police and ambulance crews rushed to the farm in Woolavington Road, near Puriton, at just after 8.30am last Thursday morning (October 17th).

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A man in his 50s sadly died after an incident involving a farm vehicle.”

“We are treating the death as unexplained, pending the results of a post mortem.”

“The death is being investigated jointly by the police and HSE. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The Health and Safety Executive has launched its safety probe into the sad incident.
