Burnham-On-Sea Police arrest teenager after two boys are robbed with imitation gun

Police have arrested a teenager after two 16-year-old boys were robbed in a park in Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.

Officers were called to the park area next to Cookson Close on Sunday evening (December 1st) following the incident.

Police spokeswoman Jenny Bigwood told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It happened at about 8.45pm on Sunday 1st December.”

“The boys said an older boy with his face covered threatened them with a gun and punched one in the face before taking a mobile phone and a bicycle.”

“An imitation firearm and the bike were recovered nearby by the parent of one of the boys. Police seized the stolen mobile phone.”

“Officers investigating the incident arrested a 17-year-old boy overnight.”
