Burnham-On-Sea Parkinson’s Disease Support Group given £1,405 Christmas boost

Burnham-On-Sea Parkinson’s Disease Support Group has this week been given an early Christmas gift from a team of fundraisers in the town.

Burnham’s Lighthouse pub has raised £1,405 for the group following a series of autumn fundraising events.

Julie Plested, fundraiser at the pub, presented the cheque to the support group’s the group’s Christine Manners, Roger Manners and John Thatcher this week, as pictured here.

Julie told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have held several successful fundraising events over the last six weeks for the group, including a race night, football charity cards, and a name-the-teddy competition.”

“I am more than chuffed that we have raised such a great amount and thank all those who have supported us. I am looking forward to doing more fundraising soon.”
