Brave Vinnie, 8, plans Highbridge sponsored walk for local charity

-

A brave eight year-old from Highbridge who suffers from Cerebral Palsy is set to hold a fundraising walk in aid of a local charity this weekend.

Vinnie Triggol was diagnosed with the condition when he was two years-old and has therefore faced a number of challenges than most children of his age.

After recently seeing local fundraisers doing sponsored walks he decided to organise one himself to raise cash for the Bridgwater-based British Institute for Brain Injured Children (BIBIC).

Vinnie will be walking around Apex Park in Highbridge this Saturday (27th April) at 11am.

Mandy Triggol, Vinnie’s Mum, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We chose BIBIC because of Vinnie’s condition and they help so many children. Vinnie wanted to be able to help lots of children with Cerebral Palsy as well as those with different special needs to himself.”

“He chose Apex Park as it’s local and he knows he can make it round. It’s also not too far for him with his disability given his condition but it will still be a huge challenge for him. Anybody is welcome to join us for a stroll and help support Vinnie.”

Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so at Vinnie’s Just Giving page.
