A man who died after being hit by a train at Highbridge Railway Station last week has been formally named.
Simon John Heyes, of no fixed address, died of traumatic injuries after colliding with a train on Thursday October 22nd at 12:09pm, according to an interim post mortem.
An inquest heard: “He was seen to take a running jump from a platform at Highbridge rail station and a high speed train was passing through. He was struck by the train.”
The inquest has now been adjourned for three months.
