Highbridge police hold free bike security marking session today

-

Cyclists can have their bikes security marked and get road safety advice when Highbridge police hold a special bike marking event today (Tuesday, May 18th).

The marking session will be held during a police surgery today at 6pm at the Police Pod in the Asda car park.

PCSOs Claire Chambers and Gill Bawler will be handing out crime reduction advice, marking property and discussing safety advice.

PCSO Chambers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There are two ways we can mark bikes. The first being a free UV marking, which adds the owner’s postcode in a number of locations using an invisible marker; the second is using a permanent marking system and ownership database. Police are offering the service at a discounted rate of £4 per pedal cycle (normally retailed at £10.95).”
