Freshly cooked pasties are being served up at a new town centre shop which opened in Burnham-On-Sea this week.

The Newquay Pasty Shop Company officially open its doors to the public on Monday (March 1st) at 36 The High Street.

Visitors can choose from more than 20 varieties of pasties, plus other hot food and Italian coffee.

“We’re delighetd to have officially opened after several months’ hard work to get the premises ready,” co-owner Jackie Welsh told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “We’ve had a busy first couple of days with lots of interest.”

The couple behind the firm, Jeff and Jackie Welsh, previously ran JJ Welsh’s Tea Rooms at the same premises.

The tea rooms closed last year and there was a possibilty that the building would become a Subway outlet, however the sale fell through.
