New grocery shop aimed at Polish community opens in Highbridge

-

A unique new food shop aimed at Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s Polish community has opened this week.

Polanka Food has launched in Highbridge’s Market Street and is providing a wide range of groceries direct from Poland.

Owner Chris Jedowski, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There are more than 1,000 Polish people who live and work in the Burnham and Highbridge area so we know there is plenty of demand locally for our food.”

“We have had plenty of positive feedback and lots of interest so far,” he added.

Highbridge Chamber of Trade welcomed the opening of the new business and wished its owner every success.

The shop has opened in place of Casino Slots, which closed in May this year, as we reported here.
