Charity set to hold annual Brean beach walk this Sunday

-

Supporters of The Alzheimer’s Society will be pulling on their walking boots to take part in the charity’s annual Sponsored Memory Walk in Brean this Sunday (16th September).

Participants will stroll along the beach from Brean Leisure Park to Brean Cove, then over Brean Down to enjoy the views at the fort before returning.

A choice of two shorter walks are available, from Brean Cove and return, or a wheelchair accessible half mile stroll within the grounds of Brean Leisure Park.

“This is a great way to have a fun afternoon with friends, family burn off a few calories and enjoy our delightful local scenery. Sponsored dogs are also welcome!” organiser Mike Barsby told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

This year’s event will start at 2pm from Brean Leisure Park. To register in advance, contact Mike by email at mikeb@brean.com or call 07936 538263. Registration is free.
