Burnham-On-Sea cadets take to the skies in rescue helicopter

-

This group of Burnham-On-Sea air cadets enjoyed a day to remember on Saturday (June 9th) when they were given a flight in a search and rescue helicopter.

The cadets from 290 Squadron Air Cadets were treated to an exhilarating flight along the coast of Devon in a Sea King helicopter.

The cadets were first shown over the aircraft and given a safety brief and drill before they took off from the Chivenor base.

They were taken on the visit by Sgt Claire Fabiano and CI Jeff Jackson and Jeff told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Whizzing along at a thousand feet above the picturesque Devon countryside and coast in beautiful clear weather was an absolute dream come true for them.”

“The cadets must have enjoyed it judging from the ear-to-ear grins on their faces throughout!”
