Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea tackled a farmyard blaze on Monday afternoon (September 22nd).
Two fire appliances from Burnham and a water carrier from Bridgwater were sent to Edingworth Road in East Brent at 1.40pm after reports of a fire in a silage pit on a farm.
“The crews found a small area of a large silage pit was affected by the fire,” said a spokesman.
“Fire Service personnel, with help of the farmer, separated the affected area and extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets.”
