Burnham-On-Sea librarian retires after 22 years in the role

-

A long-serving librarian in Burnham-On-Sea has retired from her role after more than two decades in the job.

Eileen Long, 61, has been a familiar face at Burnham Library in Princess Street and the former Adam Street library.

“I started work as a librarian in 1991 and enjoy books and the job so much that I stayed for over 20 years!” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“I have worked with a great team of staff here and have met many lovely customers over the years. I am taking away some great memories.”

Eileen marked her retirement with colleagues and friends with a special meal at the Dunstan House in nearby Love Lane.
