Police issue appeal after charity boxes stolen from Burnham shop

-

Thieves gained access to Seafoods in the High Street this week and stole a cash box and two charity collection boxes full of coins.

Burnham Police say a door was forced and a window smashed to gain acces to the fishmonger.

“Two charity boxes for Weston Hospice and the Fishermen’s Mission were taken – both of which were full of coins and ready to be collected. It is so low that someone could do this,” the shop’s Ryan Mount told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Police have appealed for any witnesses who saw any suspicous activity between last Saturday and Monday morning to get in touch via the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously via the Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
