A woman was rushed to hospital after a two-vehicle crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday morning (June 19th).
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the A38 Dunball roundabout at just before 9.30am.
One person was trapped inside a vehicle and was released by the fire crews using hydraulic cutting equipment.
“The lady was conveyed to hospital by land ambulance with several injuries,” said a spokesman.
Police put diversions in place for motorists travelling through the area while emergency crews were on scene.
