St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-On-Sea plays host to the Singing Children of Africa this evening (Wednesday).

The concert, which starts at 7pm, is free to attend and there are no tickets with the audience simply invited to turn up.

There will be a retiring collection to cover the costs of the tour and help the the ‘Educate the Kids’ charity.

“The Singing Children have made many visits to Burnham before and we all enjoy their vibrant and enthusiastic singing,” said Rev Graham Witts, Vicar of Burnham-On-Sea.

The Kenyan pupils are staying with local host families and are mostly attached to local schools during the daytime.

They arrived on Sunday and during their fortnight here they will visit local schools.

The other public concerts during the ‘I Smile’ tour of the Burnham-On-Sea area are as follows:

Wednesday 5th October at St Andrew’s Church at 7pm

Friday 7th October at The Beachcomber, Brean at 7.45pm

Saturday 8th October at St John’s Church, Highbridge at 7pm

Tuesday 11th October at Princess Hall – SOLD OUT

Saturday 15th October at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
