Antiques valuation day to be held in Highbridge this Thursday

-

An Antiques Roadshow style event will be held in Highbridge on Thursday (May 17th) when experts will be on hand to value collectables.

The event at St John Ambulance Hall in Bank Street will be held from 11am-3pm.

Three experts from Lawrences of Crewkerne will be offering valuations for £1.50 per item or £5 for multiple items.

“You could be pleasantly surprised – and perhaps stunned – by what you have in your attic, so come along and enjoy observing how the experts work,” one of the organisers, Janet Keen, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Following the valuation, the antiques owners can decide whether they wish to send that item on to auction.

Experts in attendance will be jewellery specialist Miranda Bingham and Simon Jones, who specialises in decorative antiques from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries plus ceramics, collectors and sporting items and furniture. Expert Jeff Day will also be on hand with militaria, coins and stamps valuations.
