Runners brave icy weather to take part in Burnham-On-Sea Aquathlon

Athletes of all ages braved chilly weather to take part in Burnham-On-Sea’s Spring aquathlon on Sunday (March 10th).

The popular event, organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, comprised of a 250 metre swim at Burnham Pool followed by a 2.5km run along the seafront.

Organiser Martin Rogers told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a great success and thanked all those who had turned out to support the event.

The first female overall was Kirsty Jenkins while the first male overall was Scott Jenkins. Other medal winners were Chloe Parfitt, Thomas Smithers, Hannah Palmer, Thomas Kerfoot, Tabitha Rogers, Oliver Goodwin, Nicola Puddy, Sean Curran, Michelle Kerfoot, Mark Pickering, Richard Nuell, Joe Hancock and Finlay Kidner.
