Burnham-On-Sea’s Victoria Hotel has held a special horse-racing themed charity fundraising afternoon.

The hotel in Victoria Street marked Ascot Ladies Day with a unique event while the horse racing took place.

“We encouraged ladies to dress up in their finest hats and to come along and enjoy strawberries, cream and Prosecco while watching the horse racing on our big screen,” Publican Shaun McCann told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We also ran bets over to William Hill next door to add to the excitement during the afternoon.”

All the funds raised went towards the hotel’s charity of the year, In Charley’s Memory.
