A sponsored cycle ride outside a Highbridge supermarket has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

The staff at Asda in Caxton Road, Highbridge raised a total of £300.25 for the national charity Children With Cancer over the weekend.

The staff rode a static bike outside the store and collected donations from shoppers.

“We had lots of superb support from customers and we are very pleased to have raised a good sum for the charity,” said a spokesman.
