A Berrow bed and breakfast has been shortlisted for a top award offering the UK’s ‘Tastiest Breakfast’.
Yew Tree House in Berrow’s Hurn Lane is among ten B&Bs around the country battling it out for the accolade at the upcoming eviivo Awards, following a taste test by celebrity chef Rosemary Schrager of TV’s Ladette to Lady, Soapstar Superchef and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
Owner Anne Fox told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Breakfast is a really important part of what we offer our guests, it sets them up for the day. We offer a variety of cooked options including the traditional English breakfast, a vegetarian breakfast, a continental breakfast with local ham and cheese and there is always home made fresh fruit salad on the breakfast bar.”
“I get as much of the food from excellent local producers as I can and where I can’t source locally I get the best quality available. I enjoy preparing and cooking the breakfast. Our guests seem to appreciate what I do and leave lots of positive feedback.”
“It was the positive feedback that persuaded me to go in for the awards and I am really pleased to have done so well. We have just received our tickets for the award ceremony later this month and are really excited to be going.”

The eviivo Awards, dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of the UK independent accommodation sector, also feature a variety of other interesting categories. The 2019 awards take place on 15th October at Grand Connaught Rooms in Great Queen Street, London.
