Royal wedding ceremony played out at Berrow School

-

Berrow Primary School pupils have celebrated the Royal Wedding with a special fun day which included a mock royal wedding.

All the staff and children came to school wearing their wedding finery and the school’s hall was arranged like a church and decorated with fresh flowers.

The children role-played a Christian wedding ceremony with their own ‘William and Kate’ (pictured right) and a wedding ceremony was conducted by Minister of Burnham Baptist Church Steve Ayers and Berrow Church’s Rev Sally Lacy.

“Everyone enjoyed the outdoor wedding buffet that followed afterwards and the children found out much about our Royal Family and also learnt the National Anthem,” Heather Hector, head teacher at Berrow Primary School, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“This will be an occasion that will be etched on the children’s memories for ever,” she added.
