Brent Knoll School’s girls football team is celebrating this week after reaching the finals of a district competition.

The youngsters played three games, drawing the first two against Eastover and Kingsmoor and winning the final one against The Hamp Academy.

Head teacher Chris Burman said he was proud of the team, adding: “They played three tough games, the result of which put them top of their league and so into the Sedgemoor District finals in November. Their stamina and speed were hugely impressive.”
