Brean bar owners unveil proposals for new glamping site near Lympsham

-

The owners of a Brean bar have submitted a planning application to create a new  local glamping site.

The Roberts family own the popular Krackers Bar in the centre of Brean and have applied for permission from Sedgemoor District Council to create a new tourist facility at Honeymeade Farm in Bridgwater Road, Lympsham.

The proposals include converting a barn into a home and introducing 12 ‘glamping pod’ bases plus two yurt bases. They intend to start with five glamping pods initially plus the yurts.

The application says the facilities would aim to attract additional tourists into the area and also provide fitness classes.

“It will be family orientated and if there is sufficient demand one of the yurts will also offer some child entertainment and indoor facilities if the weather is poor,” adds the application.

Sedgemoor has begun consultation on the plans, reference 31/21/00028.
