Burnham and Highbridge Town Band aims to make seafront concerts more regular

-

Burnham and Highbridge Town Band hopes to play more outdoor free concerts on the town’s seafront over the summer holidays following a successful second performance last night (Wednesday, July 24th).

A crowd of around 100 spectators enjoyed a seafront performance next to the Bay View Café on the South Esplanade, the second of the year.

The band played and rehearsed for a couple of hours to the enjoyment of those enjoying the tunes during the heatwave.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Musical Director Ellis Holt said: “We are planning to come back again to the seafront on Wednesday August 7th at 7.30pm, weather permitting, and then possibly every week at the height of the summer holiday season in August.”

“We are delighted with the support from the local community at the first two concerts, many of whom said they’d come along after reading about it on Burnham-On-Sea.com.”
