Burnham-On-Sea Carnival organisers issue appeal for volunteer marshals

-

Organisers of Burnham-On-Sea’s Carnival have this week issued an appeal for more helpers to come forward to serve as marshals at this autumn’s event.

Organisers say they need 55 marshals to safely run the walking parade through Burnham, but have currently only got 30 volunteers committed.

This year’s walking parade (as part of the Sedgemoor Masquerade week) will be held on Monday November 8th.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Burnham and Highbridge Carnival Chief Marshal Bradley Loveridge said: “We are in great need of more helpers for marshalling. Volunteers need to be aged 18 or over and would be needed on carnival day from 5pm-11pm to ensure the event goes ahead safely.”
