A hairdressing salon and beauty therapy centre has opened in place of a former Burnham-On-Sea cafe this week.

Prim N Proper held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday (February 17th) to open its new premises in the former Calm Cafe building at 62 High Street, moving from Oxford Street.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, owner Sarah Glaysher said: “We are delighted to have opened in this lovely new, bigger building.”

“We’d outgrown our former shop and can now offer a number of new treatments, including specialist massages, eyelash and hair extensions, bamboo and hot stone treatments plus facial treatments.”

“We also hope to introduce some other alternative therapies later in the year.”

Sarah added: “It’s been a busy three weeks getting ready for the opening and we couldn’t have done it without the help of several local companies – Glaysher’s Landscaping, Crafty Comforts, Motif Glass, and the Very Deep Clean Company.”

The grand opening was held on Sunday, watched by a crowd of the salon’s local customers and friends, as pictured here.

Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade spokesman said: “We are delighted that this vacant town centre premises is becoming the new home to a superb local growing company.”

“The new store is another great reason to visit Burnham-On-Sea town centre, which has a great range of independent shops and businesses.”
