A popular tools shop in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea is set to be relaunched as an expanded hardware and tools store.

IM Tools in Burnham’s Regent Street is to become ‘Burnham Tools and Hardware’ to reflect its decision to take on some of the stock from the town’s former Home Hardware.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, owner Martin Hallier this week said: “I’m super positive about this town centre — I love Burnham and want to do all I can to support it.”

“It’s been so sad to see Home Hardware closing and I feel it is for me to help its customers in finding the products they need.”

“The closure of that shop was a big loss to our town which I could not bear so I thought I’d take up the challenge of incorporating the two business’s ethos.”

“I have taken on some of Home Hardware’s stock and am now actively looking for a bigger premises here in Burnham.”

“The new branding for the shop will go up this week and the Mayor will formally re-open the new-look shop at the start of October.”
