An irate holidaymaker stood in protest in front of a bus in Brean after he and his friends were barred by the driver from taking their dogs on board.

Paul Mason halted the number 21 bus just as it left a stop near a Brean holiday park after he and his two dogs were refused entry, because the driver said there was already another dog on board.

The outraged tourist then blocked the bus for several minutes in an attempt to force the bus driver to reveal his name or employee number, after the driver closed the door on the group of four people.

The photo was taken by Mr Mason’s wife Gaynor as the brief stand-off began last Friday morning.

She said the group of four had been waiting for the bus for an hour and a half, only to be refused entry.
