VW campervan severely damaged after accidental blaze near Burnham

This VW campervan was left severely damaged following a fire near Burnham-On-Sea on Tuesday afternoon (September 15th).

Fire crews from Bridgwater and Burnham were called to the blazing vehicle in the village of Pawlett at 1pm.

“On arrival, crews confirmed that the camper van was well alight in front of a domestic garage,” said a fire spokesman.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet and a safety jet.

The spokesman added: “Crews removed and cooled a gas cylinder from the fire. The camper van was severely damaged by fire and the domestic garage sustained some heat damage. The cause was accidental.”
