Motorist’s plea after car suffers £600 of damage in Burnham-On-Sea’s B&M car park

-

A Burnham-On-Sea motorist has issued a plea for witnesses to come forward as she faces a £600 repair bill after her car was damaged in a seafront car park last weekend.

Michelle Hedley parked her Skoda Fabia in Burnham’s Pier Street car park on Saturday (2nd February) while shopping in the B&M store.

She told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I bought a car park ticket at 10.27am for an hour. I came out at around 11.10am and immediately saw that there was a huge dent in my car.”

“I was parked in one of the parent and child spaces as I had my son with me. There was white paint on my car as the pictures show.”

She adds: “When I got to my car, there was no sign of anyone wanting to give information or who had stuck around to see if it was my car.”

“The car park wasn’t even full when I originally arrived and I had one car in front of me when I parked up.”

She adds that the damage, which has been estimated by a mechanic as costing around £600 to repair, seems be too much for a trolley to have caused it.

Michelle hopes anyone who saw the incident will get in touch – or that this story will prick the conscience of whoever was responsible. Get in contact via Burnham-On-Sea.com.
