Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called out on Sunday evening (April 29th) to tackle a car fire.

Crews were sent to the A38 Pawlett Road at 10.30pm where a fire was reported to be well alight,.

“One fire appliance from Burnham-On-Sea and one fire appliance from Bridgwater was mobilised to this incident,” a spokesperson told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The crew immediately got to work extinguishing the fire with the use of one breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.”

“Once the crew had fully extinguished the fire the vehicle was made safe and the incident was handed over to the owner of the vehicle.”

“The vehicle was 70% damaged by fire and the cause of this fire was accidental.”
