Car left destroyed after blaze on M5 near Burnham-On-Sea

A vehicle fire caused severe delays on the M5 near Burnham-On-Sea on Monday evening (March 30th).

Two lanes southbound were closed fron around 5.40pm between Junction 21 for Weston and Junction 22 for Burnham-On-Sea.

Fire crews were called to the blazing car, pictured here, south of Sedgemoor Services. The vehicle was completely destroyed.

Three fire engines and Police were called to scene with long delays for motorists approaching the area. There were no reports of any injuries.
