Burnham-On-Sea’s Rotary Club and Inner Wheel members have been in fine festive voice this week performing Christmas carols at care homes across the town.
The club’s members have been delighting residents by performing a mixture of carols and modern Xmas songs at Burnham Lodge, The Towans, Kathleen Chambers, Hillview and Broughton Lodge.
One of the singers, Ian Breed, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Our visits have been spreading good cheer in local care homes during the run-up to Christmas and we’ve been receiving a very warm reception wherever we go.”
He added: “It’s lovely to see the residents’ reactions – one elderly lady who hadn’t spoken for several months even starting to join in during one visit.”
