TV wildlife expert to give Berrow talk on work to protect Somerset owls

Wildlife TV broadcaster and naturalist expert Chris Sperring MBE will explain his work in trying to protect Barn Owls across Somerset during a special event in Berrow next month.

Berrow Conservation Group is holding the talk on Thursday 19th March when Chris, who is Conservation officer for the Hawk and Owl Trust, will discuss the efforts being made to ensure the Barn Owl remains a sight to see in Somerset for years to come.

Ann Griffiths, from Berrow Conservation Group, said the grpup is delighted to welcome Chris to the village.

“While recalling the triumphs and tribulations of the progress of the Barn Owl over recent months, Chris will be promoting the latest project that is aiming to provide more nest boxes for these wonderful birds.”

The event, at 7.30pm in Berrow Village Hall, will be open to all and there will be an entry fee of £3 on the door to cover costs.
