Three people were injured in a head-on crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday morning (March 9th).

Emergency services were called to the A38 in Tarnock near Axbridge shortly before 6.30am.

Fire crews from Cheddar and Burnham-On-Sea were sent to the scene.

“On arrival, crews located a two-vehicle head-on collision and crews immediately got to work to stabilise the vehicles,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“There were three casualties involved and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment and battery-powered tools to remove the roof of one vehicle to allow for casualty extrication.”

“The further two casualties were assessed by the Ambulance Service prior to walking free of the vehicle.”

“All patients were conveyed to hospital by the Ambulance Service. The road was blocked whilst this incident was dealt with.”
