A partial eclipse was briefly visible between the clouds in Burnham-On-Sea on Monday evening (August 21st).
Shortly before sunset, seafront walkers were able to see a ‘nibble’ taken out of the sun.
Burnham photographer David Pearce took this shot of the eclipse between the clouds from the North Esplanade.
It followed a total solar eclipse in part of America earlier on Monday when the moon passed in front of the sun, fully blocking its rays.
